Hyundai 30Beats Remix – Martin Homent

Martin Homent

Martin has only been producing music for a few months and loved the challenge of creating beats using car sounds. His entire entry utilises every car sound for the music and nothing else has been added.

Martin tells us:

“I wanted to keep the music as close to the car sounds as possible so it seems you could actually fill a car park with i30′s and perform the piece live. The video is a visual clue to which sounds are being played and almost works like a random disco light.”

I really liked the start and the video hookup is good but then it got kind of grating. Too hardcore for me but liked the ideas.

Kinda grating?

Someone said that.

Only thing I’d change is post production and cut it at its natural end.

THE most involving video and audio here.

How come this only has 2.23 out of 5? Mind you this is a disaster for being scored by your peers comapred to the usual healthy encouraging business in remix comps – we’re all in it together – we win some and sometimes get a release and royalties but usually don’t. Remixing is not a nice area from the record company perspective (we are not respected) but for us doing it we need to be nice to each other and continue doing what they wouldn’t expect – stuff the ARTIST likes, screw the record company.

SO can we please be a bit more positive about rating remixes here?

Greed seems to have the best of some of us.

Martin’s track is better than my crashtv one so I will continue voting for it (well, and mine of course) That’s FAIR and adult.

Hope you win, mate.

All I need is the passenger side wing in sahara blue and the passenger seat and the dashboard. Oh, and the windscreen. No particular reason.

Ah but you saw enough to wonder why you’ve bought this Hyundai you are now driving.

(That may not be accurate.)

(it didn’t ACTUALLY give you a headache, did it? If it did you need to see a specialist immediately because you may have a clot in a brain artery and that will kill you. Perhaps it was simply confusing for you. Not everyone is thick.)

Sorry. I’m all cross today, but still voting :)

I think this is great.
From what I see on here, this is the only music track that has used all the car part sounds and the car part sounds only.
Plus the retro 70s disco light video which shows all the parts as they are played in the track. Genius!
Really well though out.
Deserves to win.

I agree with crash tv. Lots of the good ones have been voted low by their rivals. bit shit really. However i do think the video is better than the tune on this one. and it is primarily a music remix comp. Take the video away then listen to it, compared to some others.
